Thankful

“Where were you when the world stopped turning...”

The eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks has been a day of reflection for the Bulbheads. Alan Jackson admitted in his 2001 song that he wasn’t a real political man but remembered from his youth that Faith, Hope and Love were some of the greatest gifts from God. Much the same could be said of the Bulbheads. Not real political. But real thankful for the Faith, Hope and Love in which God has so richly blessed us.

In case you’re wondering, following are just a few other things we’re thankful for today. We simply can’t list them all. Guess we’re just a thankful group.

Randy is thankful for the memories of loved ones who are now gone but touched his life so richly.

Phyllis is thankful that Alejandra, her new daughter-in-law who was born and raised in Mexico, has opened her eyes to some of the things that we take for granted here in America. Phyllis will never forget the look on Alejandra’s face the first time she tried the garbage disposal, clothes dryer and dishwasher. Amazing.

Janice is thankful for – in no particular order – SEC football, A God who loves her even though she doesn’t deserve it and an endless supply of long-lasting hairspray to keep her big hair in place.

Denise is thankful for her oldest son who was born 20 years ago on this day.

Peppi is thankful for her mother who passed away on July 1 after 91 wonderful years on this great Earth.

Donna is thankful for a wonderful work family, her given family and incredible friends.

Kaley is thankful for the giggles from her red-headed baby boy.

Tripp is thankful for the best danged business partner in the world and the twinkle in his 5-year-old daughter’s eyes when the Scooper at Bruster’s (the neighborhood ice cream shop) passes a cone-full of Double Chocolate Chunk through the window and into her tiny hands.

Fain, too, is thankful for the best danged business partner in the world and the sounds of family gathered on a campsite full of tents and S’mores on the shores of Lake Hartwell.

And all the Bulbheads are thankful for the rest of their coworkers who weren’t in the office today, spending time with their friends and families.

Finally, we’re thankful for our client friends who have become an important part of our Bulbhead family.

What are you thankful for today?
